Privacy and safety

AgeAim is built so that using it tells us as little as possible about you.

You do not need an account

The AgeAim Check works without signing in. When you use it anonymously, your answers are held in your own browser for the session and are not stored on our servers, and nothing on those pages is loaded from another company.

If you do choose an account

An account is optional and is offered only after you see your results. Signing in is handled by Clerk, so those pages load from Clerk as well as from us; the pages you use without an account do not. If you save a map, your answers are encrypted before they are written down, what you agreed to is recorded, and you can delete all of it at any time from your account page.

What we collect

Only what you choose to enter: an age range, and later an optional description of your situation. We never ask for your name, address, date of birth, or any government identifier. We keep de-identified counts of how AgeAim is used — which age range was chosen, how many context items were added, and whether the safety check showed resources — with nothing that could point back to you. Page views are counted without cookies.

If something is urgent

AgeAim is not an emergency service and cannot help in a crisis. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911. If you are having thoughts of suicide or self-harm, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, free and confidential, 24 hours a day.

Educational guidance only

Nothing here is medical, legal, financial, or psychological advice. For a decision that matters, consider speaking with a qualified professional who knows your situation.
